The Chimney in many cases is more important than the appliance itself, as a cheap stove connected to a good flue system will work far better than an expensive stove connected to a poorly performing chimney.

Sparkes Ltd do not sub-contract like so many new stove companies today. Whilst sub-contracting keeps the prices low for other companies, because they don’t employ the Engineers but instead pass on the installation fitting service to self employed Engineers or builders. Employing our Engineers means that we can take full responsibility from start to finish, as Tony will oversee the installation and make sure it is finished to the highest standard.
HETAS
Installation of a wood or multi-fuel stove including any associated work on the chimney has to be carried out by an Engineer who is HETAS registered having been trained and assessed as competent by HETAS.
HETAS is the only competent people’s scheme specialising in solid wood biomas. The scheme covers a range of installation work that an installer may be involved with e.g dry appliances, appliances with boilers, solid mineral, wood and wood biomass, relining of chimneys, hot water and heating systems.
After our Engineers have completed the installation a certificate is issued showing compliance with Building Regulations in respect of solid fuel appliances. Giving you peace of mind your stove is fitted correctly and safely. A copy is sent to HETAS and they will forward the necessary documents to your local authority. Failure to comply with this may invalidate your home insurance.
All Chimney Systems we provide are suitable Class1 chimneys necessary for the installation of wood and multi-fuel stoves.
We can supply and fit a range of chimney pots, cowls, bird guards, chimney liners and remove any unwanted bird nests.
